Black Hat Vs White Hat for Noobs

First of all let me explain to you what's the difference between the two of them. A Black Hat SEO is a webmaster that only cares about making money without being interested in offering visitors useful informations. They use all sorts of dirty things like :
- site generators ( software that generates thousands of pages in just a few minutes )
- page scrapers ( software that takes information from search engines or from specified sites )
- link baiting ( posting articles to attract visitors - but the article information usually is not very interesting or useful )
- link farms ( getting thousands of link to their sites)
- comment spam ( exploiting blogs to get links )
- and sooo .. much more
A white hat on the other hand understands that the visitor should be first. If you make a site interesting , useful with good information , and If you manage to attract them to visit your site over and over again then you have a goose with golden eggs in your hand.A White Hat will not use clocking or other SE tricks to rank higher into the serps. Of course the gray area is a lot bigger then the White and Black and I believe any respectable webmaster has tried some black hat tricks at one point. Everyone wants to make money so in order to achieve this a Noob will probably start as a Black Hat. Do 10 or so web sites put some ads on them and start making money. You can look at this in two different ways : - you want to have a daily job that implies creating new sites every day , delete a bunch , update a few… that's the Black Hat - you want a daily job where you visits your 2-3 good site. Take care of the forums , add interesting information , keep your visitors coming back … that's the White Hat.
