There is a war going on. The rules are not clear, the participants might be slippery, and there is a lot of code involved, but in the end there is a single winner. This war is the CMS competition game and WordPress 3.x, Drupal 6.x and Joomla 1.x are the players.

Youtube fullscreen freeze in Ubuntu

If you use YouTube a lot you might notice on Ubuntu 10.10 that the browser ( Firefox or Chrome ) is freezing when you click on the full screen button.

In case you have this problem the solution is simple

  • disable compiz
  • create a file /etc/adobe/mms.cfg with this content :
OverrideGPUValidation = 1

Maybe restart the system if it’s not working instantly.
