Sammy and the Gift of Gratitude
Sammy the squirrel loved autumn. The forest was full of golden leaves, crisp air, and best of all—acorns!
Every morning, Sammy scampered through the woods, gathering nuts and seeds for winter. His little paws worked quickly, filling his cheeks until they were round and full.

But one day, Sammy noticed his neighbor, Oliver the owl, looking worried. Oliver was old and could not fly far to gather food. His tree was nearly empty.
Sammy looked at his own collection—piles of acorns, chestnuts, and pine seeds. He had more than enough.
Without hesitation, Sammy gathered some of his best acorns and carried them to Oliver's tree. "These are for you," he said.

Oliver's eyes filled with tears. "Thank you, Sammy. I was so worried about winter."
Sammy smiled. "I have plenty. And you taught me something important."
"What is that?" Oliver asked.
"When we share what we have, we discover how much we truly have to be grateful for," Sammy said.
Word spread through the forest about Sammy's kindness. Soon, other animals started sharing too. The rabbits shared carrots. The birds shared berries. The deer shared apples.
By winter, the whole forest was prepared. No one was hungry. No one was cold. And everyone felt grateful—not just for the food, but for the friends who shared it.

Sammy learned that gratitude is not about having the most. It is about appreciating what you have—and sharing it with others.
