The Generous Apple Tree

Deep in the heart of Sunny Orchard stood a magnificent apple tree named Andy. Andy was no ordinary tree—he had the biggest, reddest, juiciest apples in the entire valley. His branches were heavy with fruit, and his leaves shimmered like emeralds in the sunlight.

Every morning, Andy would stretch his branches toward the sky and feel the warm sun on his leaves. He was proud of his beautiful apples, and he loved watching the world around him. But Andy had a secret wish deep in his wooden heart—he wanted to share his gifts with others.

One crisp autumn morning, a little rabbit named Benny hopped into the orchard. His nose twitched as he sniffed the air. "Oh my," Benny whispered, "those apples smell delicious! But I'm just a small rabbit, and the branches are so high."

Andy heard Benny's tummy rumble. Without hesitation, Andy shook his branches gently. Plop! Plop! Two perfect apples fell to the ground right in front of Benny. The little rabbit's eyes grew wide with joy. "Thank you, kind tree!" Benny exclaimed, munching happily.

Not long after, Sally Squirrel scampered by. She was gathering food for winter, but her acorn bag was nearly empty. "I don't know how I'll feed my family," Sally sighed, her bushy tail drooping.

Andy rustled his leaves. Shake, shake, shake! Down came a shower of apples, rolling right to Sally's feet. "For you and your family," Andy seemed to say. Sally's eyes sparkled with gratitude as she filled her bag.

As the sun began to set, a tired little bird named Chirpy landed on Andy's lowest branch. She had flown so far and her wings were weary. "I wish I had the energy to reach my nest," Chirpy chirped softly.

Andy smiled with all his leaves. He let one more apple fall, split perfectly in half by a soft patch of grass. Chirpy pecked at the sweet fruit and felt her strength return. "You're the kindest tree in the world," she sang.

That night, as the stars twinkled above Sunny Orchard, Andy felt warmer than ever. His branches were lighter now, but his heart was full. You see, Andy had discovered something magical—the more he gave, the happier he became.

Word spread through the forest about the generous apple tree. Animals came from near and far, and Andy welcomed them all. He never worried about running out of apples because somehow, every time he shared, new buds would appear, promising more fruit to come.

And so, Andy the Apple Tree became known as the most beloved tree in the valley—not because he had the most apples, but because he had the biggest heart.
